Everything you need to know about Tarot learning, certification, membership, and student support at Arcana Academy.
Tarot is a system of 78 cards used for divination, self-reflection, and spiritual guidance. Each card carries symbolic imagery and archetypal meaning. In a reading, cards are drawn and arranged in a spread, with each position representing a different aspect of the question or situation. The reader interprets the cards based on their traditional meanings, the context of the spread, and their own intuitive insight.
No prior experience is necessary. Arcana Academy is designed to welcome complete beginners. Our beginner-level courses start with the absolute fundamentals — card names, suit meanings, and basic spreads — and guide you step by step toward mastery. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to practice.
The timeline depends on your pace and dedication. A committed student studying several hours per week can complete the beginner certification in approximately 3–4 months. Full certification through the Master level typically takes 12–18 months. Because our platform is entirely self-paced, you can accelerate or slow down based on your schedule.
Our 7-day free trial gives you full access to the beginner-level curriculum, including all course lessons, interactive quizzes, card recognition exercises, and a limited number of AI Tutor sessions. You can explore the platform, study the Major Arcana, and complete your first practice readings before deciding whether to continue with a paid membership.
Arcana Academy offers two paid tiers after the 7-day trial. The Initiate plan provides access to beginner and intermediate courses, while the Adept plan unlocks all four certification levels including advanced and master-level content, unlimited AI Tutor sessions, and the practitioner directory listing. Visit our pricing section on the homepage for current rates.
Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time from your account settings. Your access will continue through the end of your current billing period. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.
Arcana Academy certifications represent successful completion of a rigorous, structured curriculum. While Tarot reading is not a government-regulated profession, our credentials are increasingly recognized within the metaphysical community as a mark of serious training. Many professional readers display their Arcana Academy certificates to demonstrate their commitment to formal education.
While having a physical deck is ideal for developing a personal connection to the cards, it is not strictly required. Our platform includes high-quality digital card images for all 78 cards, and you can practice readings directly within the app. Many students start with our digital deck and purchase a physical deck once they feel ready.
The AI Tutor analyzes your card interpretations and spread readings, providing personalized feedback on accuracy, depth, and areas for improvement. It compares your analysis against established card meanings and offers suggestions for strengthening your interpretive skills. It is available 24/7 and adapts to your learning level.
You will learn a wide range of spreads from simple to complex. Beginners start with single-card draws and three-card spreads (past-present-future). Intermediate students learn the Celtic Cross, relationship spreads, and career path layouts. Advanced and master levels cover specialized spreads for timing, decision-making, and deep psychological inquiry.
Yes. Arcana Academy is fully responsive and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. You can study lessons, take quizzes, and practice readings from any device with an internet connection. There is no separate app to download — simply visit our website from your browser.
While we do not currently offer a built-in community forum, our platform is actively developing community features. For now, students can connect through the official Arcana Academy social media channels and practitioner directory once certified.
If you do not pass a certification exam on your first attempt, you can review the material and retake it after a brief waiting period. There is no limit on retakes, and we provide feedback on which areas need improvement. Our goal is mastery — not gatekeeping.
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid memberships. If you are unsatisfied for any reason within the first week of your paid subscription, contact our support team for a full refund.
You can reach our support team by email at support@arcanaacademy.online or through the contact form on our Contact page. We respond to all inquiries within 24 hours. For account-related questions, your profile dashboard also contains help resources.
